2015 is a huge year for weddings with bridal car trends taking an extremely different direction.
Where we have been used to getting hundreds of enquires for classic wedding cars we are now seeing more and more super cars being booked for UK weddings, with brides wanting to drive themselves to the venue, having complete control over their journey to the venue.
2014 weddings displayed a borderline obsession with classic Rolls Royce wedding cars, with the vintage wedding theme proving to be a huge hit throughout the year. It appears that the modern wedding has made a comeback, with lavish super cars replacing traditional marquees.
At Wedding Car Hire we spoke to a number of old and new brides, gaining their opinion on the modern Vs tradition war.
Helen of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, had aRolls Royce Phantom in white for her wedding day.
I had always dreamt of my bridal car be being something classic, something out of the ordinary that would make people stop and stare. It is safe to say that I felt like royalty when on my way to the church. I do not think a performance car would have provided that same sense of tradition and elegance.
Joanna of East London could not disagree more, thinking that a wedding car should shock, encouraging brides-to-be to consider driving themselves to tie the knot.
I drove to my own wedding in a white Lamborghini Aventador, which as you can imagine shocked everyone. The look on my husbands face when he saw me it in was priceless, a picture that is one of my favourites within our wedding album.
When I was speaking with Wedding Car HireI just thought you only get married once so why not just go for it? so I did.I would not have changed my wedding car for the world. It was what made my wedding stand out.
As you can see there are many conflicting ideas about what you should look for in a wedding car. Why not take a look through our gallery of cars and make your own decision.
